Born in Mexico City on July 03, 1972, Attorney at Law (Law degree) by
Intercontinental University (Law School). Thesis entitled “Amendment Proposal to article 153 of the Industrial Property Law, 1998.
He has attended various seminars, in the areas of intellectual property, both in Mexico and abroad.

Fernando Duclaud has over 24 years of experience in practicing Intellectual Property Law. His main practice area is prosecution and litigation in trademarks and copyrights.
He is founding partner of Duclaud Abogados with a Law degree at Intercontinental University and has taken among others, the following IP courses: (i) Academy on Enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights under TRIPS (United States patent and trademarks office, Washington, D.C.), (ii) Piracy Detection and Counterfeited Products (United States Border, Baltimore, Maryland.), (iii) Protection Rights of Recorded Music (Mexican Institute of Industrial Property, Mexico, City), and (iv) how to Register a Trademark in the European Community (European Trademarks Office, Mexican Institute of Industrial Property, Mexico, City).
Fernando Duclaud in an active member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association and International Trademarks Association.
He has also presented the following conferences mainly at the U.S. Commercial Services of the American Embassy (i) Contents of the distributor and/or representation agreement for products imported from the United States of America, (ii) Proper protection of Confidential Information, (iii) Trademarks and Franchises Legal Aspects between Mexico and United States of America (iv) Trademark Use and Registration within Mexico and (v) Minimum Rules for the Proper Use and Protection for Trademarks.
He was a government official at the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property between April 1999 and June 2003, performing the following essential activities (i) Corporate and legal counseling regarding Industrial Property rights (ii) prosecution of trademark rights, (iii) prosecution of counterfeiting, nullification and cancellation procedures and (iv) Investigation and external surveillance to reinforce Industrial Property rights.
